Born in Italy in 1983, she started teaching music in 1998 and she has been working in the field of childhood, music, teaching and education since.
She started working as a special educator, with any kind of disability in 2003 and she has a long experience as a teacher, educator, helper and later as a psychologist for children and parents.
She has a degree in violin (Parma Conservatory- Italy), she is a Children Psychologist (Parma University - Italy) and she also obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in String Teaching at Chichester University in UK and a Post Graduate Cert in Sport and Performance Psychology at CISSPAT in Padova (Italy). She is a certified Suzuki Teacher (British Suzuki Music Association in London) and a Children's Music Laboratory and Lullaby Teacher (Musical Garden Association in Reggio Emilia – Italy).
She has a basic training in Colourstrings Method (by Geza Szilvay, Finland) and she is a Behaviuor Technician (ABA). She also has a training in REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy), AAC (Augmentative Alternative Communication) ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and MBCT (Mindfulness).
She has been a thesis advisor at some italian Universities (Bicocca University Milan, Pavia University) and she regularly writes articles for some specialized journals on music teaching in Italy, Germany, Sweden and Norway. She used to teach propaedeutic, general music and violin in nurseries, primary schools and kindergartens and she currently works as a violin teacher in her private studio in Voghera (Italy) both live and online (Music is joy has students in Italy, UK, USA, India, Germany, Poland, Denmark and Croatia).
Francesca also works a psychologist and as a behaviour technician.
She is a musical events planner and a teacher trainer in the field of instrumental teaching and inclusive teaching.
She is the artistic director of some musical events such as the International Massimo Marin Violin Competition in Pinerolo (Turin).
She was a speaker in some conferences about music, inclusive teaching and special needs since 2010. Among them, the International ESTA Conference in Cremona (Italy) in 2019.
She has been interwied by newspapers, radios and television channels such as RAI2, RAI3 (national channels), Oasi Tv, Radio Italia Anni 60, Corriere della Sera Blog, La Stampa, Radio Rainbow and much more.
Francesca also carried out a writing activity since 1995 winning some wiriting and poetry prizes and she was a Finalist in Premio Manzoni in Baveno (Italy) in 2001. She published her first book in 1998 (Ci vuole un fiore – poems collection) and her 2 nd book in 2005 (Farfalle senza ali – Armando Editore), she also participated as a co-writer in other pubications (Psychology Manual)
